I enjoyed the story, so printed it out to take home for my wife, as I do with the good ones. She, being better with names, asked whether Jill is wife to Michael, of Kennewick, Washington?
No, different Farris!
I assume your wife is referring to Michael Farris, the attorney who started the Home School Legal Defense Association? My husband spoke with Michael on the phone (because our branch of the Farris clan is also from Washington) and the two of them finally came to the conclusion that they were related somehow (possibly their grandparents were cousins). Because we have great respect for what Michael has done through HSLDA and through the other organization he helped start(parentalrights.org), we are happy to claim him as a relative.
